Vataple-Kone Escalator Equipment Co. Ltd, a joint venture between Vataple Ltd Hong Kong and Kone Corporation Finland, was established in early 2004. The core business of the company is to manufacture escalators/escalator trusses and escalator/elevator components for KONE Corporation Finland. 

The company is fully equipped with the most up-to-date machineries for special steel structure prefabrications, sheet-metal work and machinery assembly.

The company, together with Vataple Machinery, has over 550 engineers and professional workers for welding, sheet-metal, fitting and machine assembly work. Most of the welders have European EN287-1 welding certifications and North American CWB welding certifications. The company has International Welding Engineers(IWE), International Welding Inspector  (IWIP) Certifications, and European/American quality assurance certifications of DIN18800, EN1090, CWB, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
